Old-School Pittsburgh Italian
New and fancy Pittsburgh restaurants are great but you've gotta give some love to the oldies. Silvionis is an old-school Italian restaurant that specializes in two traditions — food and family.
This isn't the fanciest place in town, but it's certainly a contender for date night if you're craving a big plate of chicken parm and wine. We also love to come here for birthdays and special occasions because well, it's a family place where you can relax and enjoy your time without waiting for a reservation at an overcrowded place.
Homemade Soup: French onion
Appetizer: Stuffed banana peppers
Entree: Chicken parm with capellini and their traditional marinara
